Caring for spiral products
All of the Spiral Collective's products are made by hand with all natural ingredients and without preservatives, so sometimes they need a little extra love. You'll find simple steps down below to keep your goodies fresh for as long as possible!
Oil based Products
Whether they are based in avocado, sweet almond, or even grape seed oil, Spiral's salves, lip balms, and body butters keep best when kept out of direct sunlight and at room temperature. If they've gone a little soft, you can pop them in the fridge for an hour or so and they'll be good as new!
Two other things of note:
My salves are infused with whole, organic herbs. Sometimes little particles of these herbs make it past my multiple strainers and don't get filtered out. It is totally normal!
Also, when subject to temperature changes, sometimes beeswax can crystalize (they look like white crystal-like dots on the top of the salve) this is also normal! The heat of your hands or body will melt them right back down as you use the product.
Salt and Sugar based products
Just like the oil-based products, Spiral's sugar scrubs and salt bath soaks stay freshest when kept out of direct sunlight and at room temperature.
If kept a little too chilly, the coconut oil in the sugar scrubs can solidify- if this happens just place the jar in a bit of warm water to re-liquify and give it a good shake!
Accidentally get bath water in your salt soak? No worries! Pour the salt onto a surface lined with parchment or wax paper and let your salt and herbs dry!
Just like us, crystals need to be cleansed and recharged. Now this can depend on the crystal, but the vast majority can be cleaned/cleaned and recharged by using a salt bath. Crystals with a smooth surface can be dunked in a salt water solution, and all crystals can be submerged in a container of sea or rock salt overnight. Also many crystals can be recharged by the moon, especially the full moon- just leave them in the moonlight overnight!
